If you happen to be free this Thursday from 7-10 pm, come to the Museum of Contemporary Art for an urban hike and free museum admission.
Earlier this year I was asked to join a group of writers, architects, artists, and academics who comprise the performance artist group known as the LA Urban Rangers. We are leading several hikes of downtown this summer, sponsored by the MOCA.
On Thursday I am leading a hike that travels into the MOCA ‘Caverns’ (aka the Grand Avenue location). Come if you can!

These Jars Are Snakes
Back in November I stumbled across an abandoned cart of jars filled with fish and reptiles at the Natural History Museum in New York. I’m not gonna lie, I really wanted to take one.
Every spring I look forward to the explosion of purple trees on the La Mirada landscape. Good LA asked Angelinos to submit photos of their favorite Jacaranda trees around the city. Love that idea!
This sign is hanging in the Metabolic Studio, a beautiful place in Los Angeles where I have been spending Friday mornings this spring.
I’m in love with the work of this studio: public programs and art installations involving community engagement. Oh and did I mention that many of their projects involve gardening and sustainability?
Click the photo for more information on the studio.

It’s been a while since I have posted any sculpture images, but thanks to the wonderful and talented photographer Stephen Hernandez I have these beautiful photos from a show with Monica Tzeng this February titled Somatics.
The Sandbox this Wednesday!
Today my work was chosen to be in The Cheaper Show No. 10, an international show in Vancouver that seeks to make art affordable to all people. Thanks for choosing me, Cheaper Show!
